hey friend.

Heyyyy everyone – whats going on?

So, as this guide enters into its fifth year in June…we’ve decided to make this pledge and GO GIG OR GO HOME.

With that said, in the next few weeks – we’re super excited to announce this next phase in our story that Minty’s Gig Guide will become a CIC (Community Interest Company) – led by the community; fed by the community.

.

.

.

A Community Interest Company is a special form of enterprise which is driven by and for a social purpose; setting out to work for and bring benefit to a community.

An ideal CIC is composed of directors that represent different backgrounds with a varying range of skillsets and perspectives that are invaluable to work towards a CIC’s vision and its social aims.

.

.

.

To bring Wales’ cultural landscape to the front, making it fully accessible, visible and inclusive to every individual living, working and visiting the Land of Song.

Getting what’s on our doorstep into your pocket.

.

.

.

This guide has served you for the past 5 years with announcements, goings on, campaigned for venues in Cardiff and across Wales, championed and advocated for many local & touring artists & now, we feel, it’s time to take things the next step further & to properly devote ourselves to the cause.

We have BIG ambitions. We hold bold objectives.

Becoming a CIC allows us to be able to realise these and truly be taken seriously by those who hold the keys to all of the castles.

.

.

.

To make live music accessible, visible & inclusive to everyone by:

* presenting an easily digestible yet comprehensive form of event information, bilingually, displayed with parity across a vibrant, colourful canvas from the perspective of a fan.

 * advocating, standing up for & helping to protect the cultural fabric of music venues & spaces in Wales and its capital city, whilst adapting to reflect the zeitgeist

* giving platform to people & the volume of diversity in the community; shining light on causes, stories; sharing values & moments that need to be seen and heard.

* functioning as a community owned platform – led by the community, fed by the community reaching for local, regional and visitor engagement.

* openly working alongside other organisations and local authorities to bridge social & cultural gaps in economically disadvantaged & marginalized areas by supporting and sharing opportunities and information

.

.

.

We’ve been working with an awesome company called Social Firms Wales who have guided us through every single step of this petrifying process…and have given us the confidence and enabled us to believe that our ideas can make a difference.

.

.

.

On the outside? Not a huge deal.
This Gig Guide will continue to be a source of immediate knowledge to help you on your way. In fact, there will be more content, more interactivity, more support & more choices for you to make independently.

There will be structural differences internally, of course – but this will only help to amalgamate the many voices and perspectives that make our country worth listening to.

Thaaaaaaaaaat being said, LOOK OUT BELOOOW
!!!

.

.

.

We are looking for people from all walks of life who are uber-fans (not cabs) of music in Wales; are able to commit to our vision, mission and aims, plus have the time to spare.

If you would like to be a part of this journey with us (again not in cabs) and have a interest in potentially becoming a director of this FRESH CIC – come say hello and drop us an email:

If you’ve scrolled down this – you are a certifiable legend…and as the old saying goes…
